Treatment methods for nonspecific ulcerative colitis using traditional medicine

UC, or nonspecific ulcerative colitis, is an unpleasant disease. In a sick person, hemorrhages are observed in the large intestine and ulcers form on the mucous membrane. The causes of the disease are not fully understood, but some factors that precede this disease are known for certain. UC can manifest itself after viral infections. In addition, eating foods that are low in fiber can also trigger this disease.

Nonspecific ulcerative colitis

Shilajit for colitis

Shilajit is often used to treat ulcerative colitis. This is one of the few folk remedies that have shown real results.

Shilajit for ulcerative colitis.

Mumiyo is mixed with water in a ratio of 0.1 grams of mumiyo per 1 tablespoon of water). The daily dose of the resulting solution is 0.2 grams. Each dose is 10 ml of a solution with a concentration of 1% orally. The remaining daily dose (0.1 gram) must be used in the form of rectal suppositories. When using the product in this way, a pronounced anti-inflammatory, analgesic and regenerative effect is achieved. There is an elimination of specific manifestations from the gastrointestinal tract: heartburn, belching, diarrhea, etc. (dyspeptic manifestations).

For patients suffering from concomitant neurological disorders (VSD), the substance has a calming (sedative) effect. The course of treatment for ulcerative colitis is about 30 days. At the end of taking mumiyo, restoration of the intestinal mucosa from ulcerative lesions and relief of inflammation are observed. Despite its effectiveness, the greatest benefit can be achieved by taking mumiyo in combination with traditional medications.

Shilajit for enterocolitis.

A complicated type of colitis, enterocolitis, is also treated using the same scheme. With the right approach, intestinal ulcers are eliminated by the 14th day of treatment, complete regeneration of the mucous membrane of the large and small intestines takes about 28-35 days. Specific manifestations disappear by 7-12 days. Pain syndrome is alleviated, dyspeptic disorders are eliminated, body temperature returns to normal physiological levels. A general blood test indicates stabilization of the body’s condition (ESR, red blood cells, hemoglobin return to normal).

In case of complicated pain syndrome in the anus and pronounced dyspeptic symptoms (feeling of heaviness in the abdomen, heartburn, etc.), rectal administration of mumiyo (in the form of suppositories) is recommended. Scheme: 0.1 grams of mumiyo in three doses, throughout the day.

The main disadvantage of treatment with mumiyo is its ability to disrupt the normal intestinal microflora. This happens extremely rarely, but it is still recommended to consume fermented milk products (kefir, etc.).

Proper nutrition

Instead of steadily limiting their own diet, patients are required to concentrate on replenishing the exhausted body with everything it needs.

Important recommendations for ulcerative colitis of the intestine (symptoms and treatment with folk remedies are described above):

  • Eat fully and nutritiously, do not skip meals and do not make you feel hungry.
  • Drink plenty of water, especially during exacerbations, and do not lead to dehydration.
  • Always have mineral water or specialized electrolyte drinks with you.
  • Introduce calcium and vitamin D supplements into your diet to preserve bone tissue.
  • Eat in small portions.
  • Reduce foods that contain large amounts of fiber.
  • Beware of very fatty foods.

As you can see, proper nutrition is very important when treating ulcerative colitis of the intestine (symptoms are described above). Therefore, a visit to the doctor is necessary.

Propolis for intestinal colitis

Propolis has a high antibacterial ability and also promotes rapid tissue regeneration, due to which ulcerative lesions are effectively eliminated.

The main dosage form for using propolis for colitis is tincture (alcohol). Microenemas are also used.

Propolis tincture:

pour 1 liter of alcohol with a strength of 70-96 degrees into a darkened container. A tincture of 10-20-30% is used, but you need to start with 10%. To prepare a 10% tincture, you should adhere to a ratio of 1:10 (for every 10 grams of propolis - 100 ml of alcohol). The solution is infused for 2-5 days in a dark place. The dishes should be shaken every day.

You need to start treatment with 10% tincture. A high concentration solution may cause severe allergic reactions. If there is no reaction, you can switch to a “stronger” composition. Take 25-30 drops 3 times a day 40-60 minutes before meals. The composition must be diluted in half a glass of water or milk.

30% composition is taken in 40 drops. The course of treatment is 3-4 weeks. In case of complicated or chronic colitis, a second course is permissible after 14-21 days.

For topical use, a 4% infusion is used. It is prepared in a similar way (4 grams of propolis per 100 ml of water). The solution is infused for a day and filtered through a fine sieve. After a cleansing enema, propolis infusion is administered rectally (from night to morning).

Symptoms of UC

UC manifests itself as fever, weakness, lack of appetite, vomiting, and sudden weight loss. After eating, cramping pain in the abdomen appears. Very frequent bloody, mucous stools. If the disease is advanced, anemia may develop, and damage to the joints and skin, mucous membranes of the mouth and eyes is noted. The skin becomes dry, hair rapidly thins, and nails break. Sometimes bleeding occurs in the intestines. If measures are not taken in time, cancer is likely to develop.

Treatment of colitis with enemas

Buy rosehip oil or sea buckthorn oil at the pharmacy (sea buckthorn is more effective). There, the instructions will say for what diseases and how they can be used.

Microclyster from sea buckthorn oil.

The oil should be administered in doses of 50-60 g for adults and 25-30 g for children under 12 years of age, this is done using microenemas, through a catheter 25-30 cm long for adults, and 10-15 cm for children.

To make a microenema, buy a 100-gram syringe with a catheter. Take 50-60 grams of oil into it and inject it into the rectum. It is necessary that the oil stays there for a sufficient amount of time. During the procedure you need to lie on your left side. Try to sleep until morning.

Healing will occur depending on how deeply you inject the oil into the intestines, as the oil coats all ulcers. When you have a bowel movement in the morning, you will see blood, don’t be alarmed, it’s oil, it looks a lot like blood.

If your illness is acute, then during the first course, do 30 enemas (one every evening). Also take one tablespoon of sea buckthorn oil an hour before meals.

Cleansing enemas.

It is also recommended to conduct a cleansing enema before the microenema. To do this, brew a tablespoon of St. John's wort or medicinal chamomile with half a liter of boiling water in an enamel bowl, cover with a lid, wrap in a blanket and leave for an hour. Then strain and do an enema with the infusion at room temperature to cleanse the rectum. After it cools down a little, strain and do a regular enema. When the intestines are cleansed, you can begin the oil enema.

Nutrition tips.

Remember that you need to follow a certain diet. Do not eat pork, sour, salty, fried, smoked. Eat boiled, pureed, steamed food. For dairy products, eat cottage cheese, also drink kefir or yogurt; For meat, eat beef and chicken, and don’t forget fish and stale white bread. Eat oatmeal.

A course of treatment

must be repeated every six months, 20-30 enemas, combined with cleansing enemas every other day. Perhaps there will be an exacerbation of the disease, then you can immediately repeat the course of treatment, do an enema every day. This is a very complex disease, so you will have to carry out prevention until you feel completely healthy. And treatment may take you about a year or even more.

Causes of the disease

The exact reasons have not been clarified to this day. But doctors highlight several.

Firstly, it is heredity. If one of your close relatives suffered from this disease, the likelihood of you developing UC is high.

Sometimes viruses and bacteria are blamed for the disease. Unfavorable environmental conditions of the locality in which you permanently reside. Bad habits, primarily smoking. Poor nutrition. Some medications, such as antibiotics or birth control pills, are also cited as a cause of the disease.

I suffer from chronic colitis, so as not to drink chemicals all the time, I found a suitable way to relieve bloating and normalize stool. This is mumiyo. I’ve been taking his solution for half a month now, the symptoms have gone away, and I feel much better.
