This group of medications includes:

1. Biltricide. The active substance is Praziquantel. The drug is taken 3 times a day. The interval between doses does not exceed 6 hours. The dosage depends on body weight. Per 1 kg of weight there are 70-75 mg of active substance.
2. Chloxyl. There are three treatment regimens, the duration of which is 2,3 or 5 days. To calculate the dosage you will need weight. It is multiplied by 0.3 g. The resulting value is divided by the number of days. Frequency of application: three times a day.
3. Albendazole. An effective drug with a wide spectrum of effects. The medication is taken 2 days in a row. The dosage for adults is 400 mg.

2. Tailed larvae leave the first place of habitat and development, and in the river flow they end up on the body of the second intermediate host - fish. Having strengthened and cast off their tail, the cercariae plunge into the subcutaneous glands. And after 2 months, a stage of development of the Siberian fluke, invasive for the last chain of habitat (humans), is formed - metacercariae. A person can be a carrier of these parasites for more than 10 years.

Parasite larvae exhibit fairly high resistance to both low and high temperatures. At the same time, they remain viable in the open air, and even more so in water, for a long time. It is worth considering how known types of fish processing affect opisthorchiasis.
